The Captain & Crew: Passage Makers are designed to be handled by a cruising couple or with minimal crew. Starting with a Steve Seaton designed self-righting, double bottom steel hull, these yachts are constructed, equipped and finished on a custom and semi-custom basis. Customization and communication throughout the process allows individual owners to remain ‘stylish’ and differentiated from their peers without sacrificing the safety found in the Steve Seaton hull and structural design. With thrusters at both ends and hydraulic stabilizers, this boat is a captain’s dream. The theory has been and will be safe and easy!

Structural, Navigation & Electronic Safety: Passage Maker Marine Yachts are structurally designed and constructed to meet or exceed Lloyd’s Register requirements. All electrical and mechanical systems also meet or exceed Lloyd's 100A1 Unrestricted World-Wide Cruising requirements for yachts while all main systems are designed with redundancy and serviceability as prime considerations. Multiple structural and watertight bulkheads are incorporated into the design of each vessel in order to produce an extremely strong and safe hull structure built for long range oceanic voyaging and expeditions.

Interior: Interiors are custom designed for practicality, maximum space utilization and to meet the owner's requirements. Owners may elect their own designer or choose to work with our experienced team out of Ireland. Only top quality materials are used in conjunction with "Old World" craftsmanship to produce luxurious interior accommodations that can be as customized as requested to match your living and cruising lifestyle.

Exterior: Exteriors are designed for practicality, safety, space utilization and low maintenance. While our owners have the luxury of customizing their exteriors with the accoutrements of life and leisure, our goal is to provide ample dry outside space that is deemed sea-safe. One small example of this practicality and safety can be found in the Portuguese Bridge constructed with blue water in mind.

Living & Long Range Travel: The key in providing the additional volume necessary for luxurious interior accommodations is in our design. Featuring wide beams, exquisite sight lines, a low center of gravity for better stability and comfort in a seaway, this sensuous vessel cruises with safety, efficiency and style. People normally expect to find such spacious accommodations and open space on ships of a much larger size. While a live aboard couple can ‘close the office doors’ and leave work in their wake, our more expeditionary owners will be embraced by the comfort of planning and executing a world wide sojourn onboard a truly spectacular vessel. Leave the fuel worries behind, provision the Passage Maker ‘85 and head out to navigate the world, either way your neighbors will be jealous and you’ll love every minute of living on her.

Production & Building: To ensure adequate production capacity and enhance quality control procedures, Passage Maker Marine has an alliance with the Portuguese yacht builder Yacht Algar Construcao De Iates, Lda and has a dedicated production facility in the southern city of Portimao, Portugal. This facility is located on the site of a former NATO base which, in a natural harbor on 18 acres of land, has deepwater frontage on three sides. In addition to the existing buildings, two new construction workshops as well as a paint building have been completed. A new 300 ton Marine Travel lift for hauling and launching accompanies our launching rails for new construction projects of up to 75 meters. The production facility will enable Passage Maker Marine to consolidate design, construction and finishing activities in one dedicated location for greater efficiency, enhanced quality control and easier communication with owners. In addition, Passage Maker Marine will be able to expand it’s current offerings, which presently range in size from 62’ to 85’ into the 140’ to 225’ range based on client requirements.
